Dear friends,
NSI is the parent organization of Neurosciences in India with a galaxy of nearly 4000 members. We have grown into a strong body in the last 75 years and are getting stronger daily. Whereas we have made an impact on its members’ education, we now envision a step towards a National level organization such as the Neurosurgical Standards Organisation (NSO). We are essential stakeholders and can become the first body to provide standards in education, faculty development, setting standards in neurosurgical implants and devices, standards of teaching Institutions imparting MCh or DNB courses, etc.
We shall be the organization as a bridge for national-level programs and guidelines.
NSI has already taken steps in this mission, and I am sure with the involvement of each of its members, we can soon transform ourselves from just another society to a robust organization for developing or modifying standards in neurosciences.
Our impact on the international level is also improving, but it needs further enhancement.
I would request that members who ever read it and find that they can help in being an important member to achieve my vision contact me. Remember, It’s your society, and it’s your mission as well.
