Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is an honor and privilege to be entrusted with the responsibility of the Chair of the Webinar committee of the Neurological society of India. With the onset of the pandemic, and subsequent travel restrictions, there has been a sea change in the academic environment. Mentorship, hand holding, learning from the experts in person etc., have become scarce. However, the introduction of web-based platforms for learning has mitigated this problem to a certain extent. While the pandemic era restrictions may continue for a long time, the webinar-based learning program aims to overcome this with several innovative teaching programs. The webinar committee of the NSI has the main objective of disseminating quality education to the farthest corners of the country.
In this, we aim to have thematic based discussions on various aspects of Neurosciences. The aim is to invite experts in various sub-specialties in all aspects of neurosciences, to discuss, debate and advise on various aspects of best practices. The various components would include masterclasses, Journal clubs and thematic webinars. This forum will serve to integrate, incorporate and disseminate knowledge and be a learning experience, and importantly promote best aspects of Neurosurgical care – both clinical and ethical. We also hope to have collaboration with other societies around the globe incorporating global co-operation and best teaching practices.
We hope that the webinar series lives up to the high standards of clinical excellence and promotes learning both in India and across the globe.
